Robert "Bob" Hemenway was the sixteenth Chancellor at the University of Kansas. Materials in his collection include administrative documents from his time at KU and from previous posts at the University of Kentucky, the University of Wyoming, and the University of Oklahoma; his literary biography of Zora Neale Hurston; and his dissertation on Charles Brockden Brown, amongst other materials related to Hemenway's career.

There are numbers in the margins of some lectures, which may be slide cues, but no slides are included. Photocopies of labeled slides are indicated, as are materials in Spanish.

Richard Rhodes papers
Richard Rhodes, born in Kansas City, Kansas, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose many books and articles reflect his wide ranging subject interests. In these papers are manuscripts of his writings, copies of his many published works, related correspondence, some personal material and photographs, and the author's extensive research files, containing more than one hundred audio tapes of interviews that he conducted.

William H. Brow Papers
William H. Brow served twice as the in-country Director of the University of Kansas Study Abroad program in Costa Rica. Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, he also worked as a literary translator. The collection contains translations of manuscripts for two books originally published in Latin America and correspondence for KU’s Study Abroad spring 1976 season.
